IPv6
From Halon Security
The VSP/SPG (H/OS 2) already supports the next generation IP protocol (IPv6). Messages can be sent and received over IPv6 and it can by nature also act as a gateway betweens IPv6 and IPv4 messaging systems.

Network Configuration
IPv6 may coexist with IPv4 addresses, H/OS 2 supports configuration of IPv6 addresses, IPv6 routing and DNS over IPv6 et.c. IPv6 addresses are treated no differently than IPv4 addresses.
Administration
The following administration services support IPv6:
- HTTP/HTTPS/SOAP
- FTP
- SSH
- SNMP
- Syslog
- NTP
- DNS
- IP Flows
- SMTP
Note: in many client applications you need to enclose IPv6 addresses in brackets eg. http://[2001:....]/.
SMTP
As stated above, it's possible to both send and receive messages using IPv6, and both anti-spam and anti-virus engines work.
Known issues
- Anti-virus signature updates and anti-spam real-time outbreak detection requires an IPv4 connection.
